That is true, though did you make the booking directly with Hertz? I guess Hertz would say American Express Platinum Card or Travel Department would be responsible for telling me the T&C if I use the CDP they have given me.
I thought I saw in some thread in either the AMEX or Hertz forums that at one point AMEX hardcoded their CDP# into Hertz #1 Club Gold profiles given that free Hertz #1 Club Gold was a benefit of AMEX PLT. Would AMEX have given the T7C of that CDP in writing at first application or sign-up or never at all or that one time in say 1975 or whenvere this relationship began.
