UX Gate Agents don't seem to fly their own airline too much
Why is it that UX Gate Agents (Skywest in this instance) think they know better than customers who fly Regional Jets (RJ 700 in this instance) often whether or not a bag will fit in the overhead?
The UX agent on my ORD-JAX flight yesterday insisted on tagging my carry-on bag, telling me it would not fit either under the seat or the overhead. It's a soft-sided bag that easily fits in the overhead or I'm sure would fit easily under the seat if the overhead were full. I've flown RJs dozens of times & never had a problem...
I told her I flew RJs all the time & was 100% sure it would fit; she insisted on tagging it. So I tore off the tag on my way down the jetway & put it in my pocket. The bag slid easily into the overhead, just like I knew it would.
Thanks UX Gate Agent. Maybe you ought to get more familiar with your aircraft...(it is not a rollerbag..
