There is a main street noted above by
alexoster, I spent some time there and purchased my engagement ring for the now Mrs L. You will make substantial savings. The shops aren't glamorous however, they are all professional and genuine. Out of interest we had ours valued upon return by two companies in the UK, and both gave similar results. Basically worth double the price.
Another friend of mine purchased a large, rare stone for his now wife, and this was almost triple the price. I can't remember the exact details but the shop he dealt with in particular were fantastic, gave him some original documentation to be checked out in the UK. They gave him a written guarantee that when he took the stone back if the UK value wasn't close to xxxx then he was entitled to a full refund. ^ star service (although the stone he purchased was well into 4 figures).
Feel free to PM me and I can obtain the shop details if you are interested.
