We did DFW-ORD-DUB on 11/9 and then the DUB-SNN-ORD-DFW return on 11/13 (we booked back in May durng the AAdv 25th Anniversary Double Mile promotion). Adding that almost 3 extra hours for the SNN part is a royal pain, especially if you're connecting out of ORD after getting back there from an 8 hour flight. It just makes a long day interminably longer.
Can someone shed some light on the "no liquids whatsoever" in your carry on for the AA flights when departing from DUB/SNN? I'm completely confused by this, since the new EU requirements went into effect on 11/6. Is this unique to AA, or to all US carriers? Wasn't too big of a deal, since we just threw them into the checked bags, but was still odd.
