I know $1070 for a WT+ ticket is a pretty fair price (especially compared to the cost of WT+ tix ex-UK), but it might be worth holding out a little bit to see if BA puts on a sale/promotion. I purchased several JFK-LHR WT+ tickets a month or two ago under a sale (I forget which one) for $582 for travel December-March. The other option if you want to keep fares down is go through the booking steps as if you were purchasing econonmy and then upgrade one way at checkout page (I've purchased WT/WT+ for around $780 this way). Obviously not as great as WT+ RT, but one segment is better than none! Also, do keep in mind (as previously mentioned) that fares are more expensive around Easter/spring break.
