Just an update:
I finally got something from AC Baggage Claim offices in the mail and guess what? They are sorry for the problem and they've assured me that corporate security is aware of the situation and will get in touch with me if my belongings are ever recovered (yea right! they didn't even ask for the S/N) BUT they are unable to compensate me since the law doesn't require them. Then there is a speech about how hard AC tries to secure bags and basically giving me a crash course in airport management and how "other" companies and entities have access to bags blah blah blah.
So much for AC and goodwill.
I'm officially disappointed with AC and this will be one that I won't forget for a long time.
Fortunately I'm making more headway with my Visa Platinum's purchase protection warranty and I actually might be getting something back though it's still not very clear at this point in time.
Any idea if there is any other way to follow this through or I've hit dead end with AC?
