I was recently on a flight where a guy across the aisle was talking LOUDLY on his phone throughout the entire boarding and pre-flight process, only ending his call when the doors were closed ....then he spent the entire flight talking LOUDLY to his seatmate. Had to turn the volume up on my headphones just to drown out the chatter.

While I look forward to having Internet on planes, the reality is that if you allow Internet, you will allow VOIP. (Skype is almost impossible to block reliably.) And I don't know if there's any material difference between talking LOUDLY over VOIP and talking LOUDLY to your seatmate: They're both annoying and completely unnecessary!
