As an American, I respect the opinions offered by the OP. I just happen to disagree with his premise.

Looks like this all back-fired in the OP's face so to speak.

This year, I'll vote as late as possible. I really want to read what everyone is writing in the Talk Board threads. I really want to take a closer look at the ligit folks that are running for Talk Board.

Sadly (editorial opinion), I'm sure many of us will vote based on popularity, rather than qualifications.

I am glad that the OP created this thread. The previous responses prove that Flyertalker do care, and are a passionate bunch.
