Did you get the actual printed ticket changed later as well to reflect the changes you had made in your itinerary?

I may not understand your question fully, but I made all of these changes in person at a LH ticket counter (FRWSTAR at IAD, UA MP-issued award ticket for travel on LH at BOS). In the case of the FRWSTAR changes, they added small stickers to the two affected flight coupons. On these stickers they wrote the new flight number(s) and date(s) and initialed them. I received a printout of the new itineraries and seat assignments. In the case of the UA MP-issued award travel on LH I kept my existing flight coupons (less like a coupon; printed on UA paper-ticket stock), and LH made the changes in their reservations system and printed out a new itinerary for me. In both cases the new itineraries and seat assignments showed up in checkmytrip.com . Changing the UA MP-issued award trip was a bit dodgy, and I did experience a longer than normal check-in procedure on the two affected flights, but in both cases a Supervisor approved the check-in, after having been called by the check-in agent, without any prompting from me.
