Indeed, there is a greater correlation between category and average price, than between category and quality.
A good starting point for your search on the website might be to search rates via the
Luxury Collection Hotel Directory.
Too bad the site won't remember your start/end dates between each search, but it's easy to cut & paste or just key them in.
