But those buildings are off the way and co-mingled into the background of the Victoria Peak. The city planning drawing in the pre-SAR stage has designed this site to be 2 buildings, each with 44 stores, for a purpose, not to block the view of the Peak. Someone with power or with its representatives inside that commission just changed that design for the worst. The new design is just to extend the otherwise original 44 stores into 88, rather than redesiging the whole thing to fit the purpose. This new IFC 2 is now sitting right in the middle of the harbour (used to be) and like giving out a middle finger, if you take a look at it from the bontanical garden side, facing China. May be there is a deep meaning to it for someone who built it. They meant what they shown. The BOC, HSBC, The Center are all nice looking buildings with elegance and charm, world class. This IFC 2 ... forget it.
