Was flying EWR-MIA this morning. . . as people were boarding, the FA made her usual set of announcements, but then included a "warning" that I had never heard before:

"Don't try to stuff your carry-ons in the overhead bin. If you do, the bin will break and the flight will be cancelled."

I didn't believe this BS for a second, but she sounded dead serious and some people appeared to believe her.

Anyone else heard this one before?
