Hi
We went on a trip with a 5 month old. Some tips from my perspective:
- if the baby is in a fairly good routine of napping (unlikely at 1.5 months) then go somewhere in the same timezone or only 1 hour different - this should help minimise the disruption
- definitely a condo style or apartment is the way to do - you need a kitchenette for all of the bottle washing, formula/food prep and you also DEFINITELY want a room that you can close off to let them sleep. 2 bed suite is best if you can afford it
- forget about going into the sun at all - baby is way too young to be exposed to direct sunlight even with a ton of suncream and clothing. Also dehydration can be an issue with the heat - if you can get a condo with a patio or garden area attached where you can sunbake/relax while baby is napping, this is perfect. Private plunge pool would be the ultimate luxury if you can afford it!
- make sure wherever you are staying has a great & extensive room service menu - you won't be eating out much if at all
