Great report...I did PEK/ORD a couple weeks ago. Same deal so this was deju all over again. That secondary "security check" at the boarding gate is a hoot, must be an "iron rice bowl" scheme to employ more people at the airport because it's useless, total waste of time. They couldn't find their butts with both hands and a flashlight. Hadn't used the lounge in a year or so, has something changed? It used to be much more roomy, quiet and comfortable, better food too...or was I at a different PEK lounge? I think it was the same *A lounge, the first one you pass on the way to the gate, on the right, right?
