Asking for clear answers to your questions is besides the point; you should seek the deeper meaning behind the experience a la' Derrida, and concentrate more on the pre-reflective consciousness with a copy of Sarte in your hands. Furthermore you should simply be grateful that you are in France, and admire the elegant swooping lines of the buildings (including those with collapsed roofs, still under repair years later). Only an unsophisticated American would ask for more.
As for me, whenever I transit CDG I question the very core of my being. Fortunately this feeling goes away once I'm away from the airport and actually enjoying France.
