I normally use 50k miles to fly to Europe and if I had to buy a ticket, it's usually around $600 when I want to go. I personally think that's too much to pay but hey, to each his or her own. I suppose if one were say, 10k short of a big award to someplace like Fiji and this transfer would mean the difference between spending $1000+ on a RT ticket or getting it for miles and a fee, I would consider it more thoroughly.

get mags or something. Me mother has about 10k DL miles but she just flew so she has 2 more years.
