There is a hotel within the airport complex which is obviously going to be the most convenient... but probably not the cheapest. I think it may be a Marriott.

I stayed at the La Quinta Inn when I visited IAH - from memory it was about 5-10 minutes away by complimentary shuttle. Rooms were nice, service was friendly, I would certainly stay there again. .
