Having a UA MP number doesn't help much. Basically all sorts of computer records seem to get out of sync. You need to have faith that the records that matter (in the computers of actual carrying airlines) are right enough for it all to work.
To reply to your previous message that you're referring to: the additional reference code in Amadeus can be useful when you need to contact the operating carrier and the reservation was made in the system that the carrier does not use. For example, I booked a USAirways flight on www.wideroe.no and received an Amadeus PNR. Then I called USAirways to ask them to select seats for me. They were unable to locate the booking by the Amadeus PNR (since they use Sabre), and they needed the "additional" reference code from checkmytrip.com. They changed my seat assignment, and later during the trip itself they also bumped me to a different US flight. Neither of these changes was reflected on checkmytrip.com. But in the end, this didn't really matter. What was important is that the information concerning the US-operated flight was up-to-date in the US reservation system.

However, it would be really useful to be able to access this up-to-date information, so that I can print it and show it to a check-in agent in case problems occur. The websites of all the airlines I know have this function, that's why I am really curious why UA should restrict it to MP members. It shouldn't be an extremely difficult thing to implement this function. After all, it is possible to see the first flight leg when you enter your data in "Easy Check-In". But how can I see the whole thing?
