No visa is needed in DXB for transit. As for info about KHI on the UAE website, that isn't too likely as KHI is still part of Pakistan and not part of the UAE yet. I have heard that KHI is a nightmare for mileage runs, up there with Lagos; also a quick trip to KHI tends to get the rest of your ticket flagged for special inspection.
