My wife and I just came back from a leisure trip YYZ/SNN ("Skyservice") and LGW/YYZ (Transat); A332 each way.

The airport experience was a far cry from BA. While the first aircraft was a bit tattered (cloth seats), the Transat service was actually quite good.

Reason we took it? The fare of $530 per person was about $100 more than the taxes and fees for a WT reward ticket on BA.com.

Not sure how BA or AC can compete with that on the leisure side.

Looking at their seat maps, it's amazing how many people they shove on their A332s especially. http://www.airtransat.co.uk/en/7_3_2.asp

Somehow they manage to put more people on a A332 than an A333 despite it being a smaller aircraft. 363 must be a near record for the number of people one can fit on one of those jets. Even QF who are known to pack them on on a domestic configured A332 only squeeze on 303. 60 extra pax is very impressive and I don't know if I would fit. Looking at the seat map however much of the extra capacity is because they configure their Y cabins in 3x3x3 whereas most carriers configure a A332 in 2x4x2.
