I actually went to Rip Tide for my first time the other night after one of my gigs. Our usual late night spots closer to home (Old Town Ale House and Burton's Place) were both packed so we went on impulse.
There was room at the Rip Tide although it filled up as time progressed. Nothing fancy about the place. It does remind me of the old Marge's on Sedgwick except the infastructure is in better shape. The staff and crowd were very friendly and cheerful. I did not see Marie that night. My main impression was the cherrfulness of the spot.
I will definitely go back when I want to get away from the main drag in Old Town.
