I respectfully beg to differ. My travel circumstances have changed this year (0 miles flown), and am in danger of losing my Silver status come March 2007. For me $899 is a better deal than the $1250 of FTD purchases I'd have to make (granted, I'd lose the accumulation of flowers, spa certificates and candy I'd get with the purchases!). Buying Silver Status would also guarantee me a lower membership fee for Club renewal next year.

Any thoughts?
