While my hair was being cut, a loud conversation was going on among the employees of the salon on the topic of what tips they expected to get both Christmas and for Thanksgiving!

They weren't talking peanuts here!

There was a large 'holiday' tip jar in front of the mirror. As I was leaving my hairdresser made a big fuss about how excited she was about how generous other customers had been to her with Thanksgiving tips and gifts.

I tipped her my usual amount. She made it clear that she was 'too busy to see me for the holidays' and closed her appointment book without making another appointment for me.

So I guess she may have fired me, before I had time to quit her!

My usual tip isn't shabby, but obviously didn't fit her plan and expectations.

Is business that good that she can fire me?
