I later learned that a private plane crossed too close & the TCAS kicked-in. Unfortunately, I never saw the other plane, so I can't say how close it looked.
One day I will figure out why folks seem to think that screaming their fool heads off at 150dB will somehow restart the engine, get the wing back on the plane, produce another 10,000 pounds of fuel, get the plane back into unaceelerated flight, or fix whatever else just went wrong.
