I mean, if you look at it, for $250 I could:

a) fly from LGA to FLL and earn a measly 2500 miles OR
b) buy myself chocolates and two dozen roses, then have them delivered to me at my Spafinder spa while getting a hot stone massage...and earn 5000 miles in the process

I think b) sounds better than any first-class experience I could have on USAir...
