I take my son skiing to Utah every year and we stay at the Hampton in Sandy UT. There are some ok places to grab a bite with in walking distance, and you can hit all the cottonwood resorts in 30-40 minutes, park city about 45min.

Hotel is average but nice Hampton, pool etc
