I have more than just an idle interest in this hotel, by the way. I might be going up to that area in a couple of weeks! It's cold there right now. Highs around 20 Fahrenheit, lows around 10. Brrrrrrrr.
Gosh - sorry I missed this so long ago. It wasn't necessarily generous - really a function of the Hampton 100% guarantee.

I did get the points and stay credit.

Also the next time I was there they upgraded me to a spa suite - not sure if it was related to the prior stay or a good turn on the Diamond status.
