This is interesting. When I signed up my HSBC account, I asked this specific question. Two employees at two different time told me there is no charge for ATM cash withdrawl at any HSBC machine around the world. I had made multiple cash withdrawls at the HK HSBC ATM without any fee and an excellent exchange rate of USD 1 to HKD 7.78.
