Your bags should be fine even with all the segments.

I don't know of anything in IAD that has showers that
you could get into with an upgraded ticket like yours,
even intl biz can't get into arrivals or IFL unless it
is atleast paid business. There are close hotels such
as the Hilton etc you could get for ~ 100 and get
a nap and shower in.
