Got my flight planned out for my Feb return max miles. Below is the routing, 2 seperate tickets from ord-yvr (cheap) yvr-krk (b fare) ~ = conf upgrade, incl a P.S. red eye flight. Using miles (what I was told technically I can upgrade the whole routing if its all continous with UA for 15K miles ^
Questions
1. Checking luggage is probably a bad idea. I do plan to check my luggage all the way to KRK. With the layovers, any chance I should see my luggage again? If I take option 2 Ill have 8 segments, 9segments with option 1.
2. Where to go in IAD to shower and relax if I chose not to do a MR? Is there a day room like I got on ORD? Also, I could make JFK layover longer, if there is a shower and a nice lounge or day room there.
3. Any recommendations? Never did a flight that technically isnt a MR with so many segmants (max last year with luggage was 5, and all 3 bags made it)

If I cant book YVR (some reason EF isnt pulling up fares) Ill leave the same routing, just ord-sea-sfo-rest
