I'm glad they are using D14 -- that is the most logical gate to use, and was constructed at some expense to accomodate the MD11s. Wonder if DL's CRC has also been recycled to become the Senator lounge? But the bus from FIS to arrivals is absurd and will add quite a delay for arriving passengers (you have to wait for a batch of people to clear the FIS before the bus will take you to the arrivals area). This will do wonders for PDX's already stellar reputation for convenience in clearing INS and customs. If the buses are operated the way that I saw them practicing it will make quite an impression on passengers (many wowing never to fly through PDX again). I think I'll route through SFO or SEA, thank you. Why did they create such an absurd arrangement?
