It seems that LH will be on the south side of the terminal -- where there is NO INS/Customs! The plan is to have passengers deplane and then taken by bus to the INS/Customs facility in D. I've seen some new buses at PDX doing practice runs (rather hilarious to see this convoy of 2 empty buses and escort vehicles shuttle between the airside of two terminals that are a single building). It would have been too logical for LH to use the facilities constructed for DL at great cost and now going unused. It certainly makes for an unpleasant arrival into PDX if this is indeed the plan. I suppose the escort vehicles are needed in case some passenger makes a run for it on the tarmac (or maybe this is a condition Orange requirement).
