- but generally our little one slept most of the flight in that bassinet. She had more problems sleeping in the 14E/F bassinet (mainly due to size) since it's the basket variety whereas the 64A/B one we had the Britax seat. Oh well those days are behind us - she turns 2 this month so her own seat. She managed to go round the world twice in those first 2 years - and all in premium classes. ^
Just to clarify, the cot vs seat debate is independent of the seat location - 14EF can certainly take either, so I assume 64A can too.
The problem may arise regarding what they have onboard. When Jr was v. small on his first trip (10 weeks) all they had was the seat, which he didn't really like so we ended up holding him for most of the flight IIRC.
Oh, and Jr has just clocked up 50k miles (which is probably twice round the world) and that was at 14 months*

Note also that FWIW, SQ has enormous bassinettes on its planes. I think in Economy the maximum load is 16kgs, whilst in C it's 14kgs and F is 12kgs.
To be honest, all airlines should do this if they have the policy whereby they'll let an under 2 on board without a seat. Some airlines say that the bassinette cannot be used past 6 months!
