My guess is some misguided person in the reservations office of the property was once told "look out for any reservations for Mr. xyz and make sure they're set up exactly the way he likes them." (where 'xyz' is the same as your last name.)

This misguided person is also probably rather stupid in not reading the first name, and thinks he's doing "you" a favor.

I've got a setup like that (thankfully not with a misguided/stupid person) at a couple of Doubletrees with personally negotiated rates and waiver of long-term parking fees. Sometimes I've seen my reservation made online get touched by the hotel (all of a sudden "comments on file" appear) long before the date of the reservation.

Ask the hotel GM, or ask the Diamond Desk, "was somebody told to look out for all reservations for Mr. XYZ? Who is that person?"

Also the terms "privacy violation" and "newspapers" and "TV news" and "Attorney General's Fraud department" might help to motivate them.
