Yeah, if the Century Hyatt Tokyo is truly Cat 1, that will be the best value for Toyko (for ANY of the hotel programs!). I've stayed there, and while not nearly as luxurious as the other two choices, it is still a fine hotel.

I've also noticed that Hyatt resorts are now not automatically Cat 4. For example, GH Bali is now category 1 (from Cat 4), which makes sense considering that its room rate is usually not that high.

Also, Summerfield Suites and Hyatt Place (depending on location) can be Cat 3 so a jump of 3K to 12K! (The Westchester Summerfield Suites is Cat 3.)

18K for a Cat 5 isn't that bad. However, I'll probably try to reserve some rooms at the old rate.
