No, Australian routes don't warrant A380s.
Yes, on a select number of long routes where schedule isn't of paramount importance and the flights leave close together such as HKG, LAX, SFO, JNB. However these would also require at least three 747/777/767 flights since 2 747s are not equal to an A380.
Reality check: There will be no bars, casinos, duty free shops, swimming pools, gymnasiums, showers, food courts, running tracks or saunas onboard any commercial A380. Casinos are likely to make it since you can implement it into the IFE.
