I am (almost) never impatient. This thought did cross my mind, but on looking at my records (keep all CC apps, terms etc in a computer file) I don't think so. And, even if I did do that, why would I get two separate accounts on the same day in view of the purported limits on applying more often than every 45-60 days. The second rep who called me was aware that I had already been granted a card for an app made the same day as the purported second app, but was far more interested in opening second account than telling me how this happened.

Just another mystery of the credit card world.
