When I use to fly AC, some 2+ years back A330 had VOD turned on for domestic flights. Infact, on the A340 that had VOD it would be turned on for domestic flights.

On this flight the inflight crew informed J class pax that the A330 is used for international flights and that's when the VOD is turned on. It is not turned on for domestic flights.

My wife said a lot of people were not happy and finally, about 2 hours into the flight the flight attendants turned on the VOD.
What a conincidence! I was on the same flight in J and was told the same thing. When I saw somebody watching movides on the VOD later, I then decided to turn it on.
