Mrs sing-along travelled from YVR to YYZ on 05NOV in J class on AC142. It was a A330. AC142 was chosen as I told her it would be an International J config with VOD.

When I use to fly AC, some 2+ years back A330 had VOD turned on for domestic flights. Infact, on the A340 that had VOD it would be turned on for domestic flights.

On this flight the inflight crew informed J class pax that the A330 is used for international flights and that's when the VOD is turned on. It is not turned on for domestic flights.

My wife said a lot of people were not happy and finally, about 2 hours into the flight the flight attendants turned on the VOD.

mrs sing-along asked me that is this a new rule at AC? I told her I was the wrong person to ask since I don't fly AC anymore, but I said I would ask on FT.

Any input that I can pass on to mrs sing-along would be very much appreciated.
