Is anyone here able to confirm whether that would be valid or not? I assume that the final LHR-NBO flight if valid would only be so if the transit through LHR was <24hrs?
MRU is a strange old starting point, pricewise it's very attractive but even with the new JNB-MRU flights it's still a nightmare to get to or from, the only option you have is to go to LHR, or JNB!
The only other option I guess would be to end with SYD-JNB-MRU but in the spirit of FT that'd be 160 tier points & 8764 base miles compared to the 340 tier points and circa 15200 base miles that SYD-LHR-DAR/NBO would return.
Don't get me wrong, i'm not a miles/status addict, but going via LHR and being able to drop my stuff at home, then travel light to Africa for a few days would be wonderful.
