OK shut me up if I'm the only one -- There are new marriott Visa banner ads on FT that randomly pop up when I open up new tabs (for threads or forums I am choosing to read). The images for these banners load SO slowly (left...to...right or top...down) that the loading of that tab and all other tabs slow to a crawl.

Haven't seen this problem before, but it's so bad that I'm checking the FT site less frequently -- I can't tie up my browser like that.

If this is a problem for others -- Hey FT: tell the Marriott Visa people that their ad agency produced artwork that annoys their target audience -- how about something simpler (i.e. faster to load)?
