When I'm on a home stretch from ORD to MCI, I sometimes burn an upgrade certificate just so I can settle into a window seat in First and watch the clouds while they refill my wine glass. This is enhanced now that I have my Bose headphones so I can listen to suitable music (either Golden Oldie sacred music, preferably in Latin, or Golden Oldie Stoner stuff like Pink Floyd).

It almost reminds me of how nice flying used to be.
