The gay area in Berlin is centred around Nollendorfplatz (metro station of same name). Quite a few bars/clubs for every taste. Most of the bars in that area tend to be the knock and/or buzz in types. Main gay clubs are in that area too. A word of warning, you'll have lots of 'boys' coming upto you in these bars being very friendly; they'll continue to be even more friendly for the relevant fee it would seem.
