Zopiclone (generic name - aka Imovane) is available by prescription only here in Canada, and I suspect the same in the UK. It's a good drug, gives restful sleep with no hangover effect - but. Some users report a very nasty taste in the mouth, for up to 48 hours after having taken the tablet (and just one dose can do it). The clinical Pharmacist at the hospital where I work told me this side effect often but not always diminishes, if the med is taken over time.

I'd take something less vile, frankly. Try Superdrug's Quiet Night tablets - the valerian in the tabs does smell but they work well, with no hangover effect. The antihistamine dimenhydrinate (the active ingredient in a lot of OTC sleeping tablets) should do the trick, too. Take either of these about half an hour before you want to be with Hypnos
