Anyway, I'll cut to the chase. In a moment of madness I booked myself a Y ticket. Upgrading is impossible as my mileage balance is next to nothing, so I'll just have to grin and bear it.

I can normally get my head down pretty easily in J / F, but I can stilll cast my memory back to sleepless overnight trips in Y thanks to my previous employer's miserly travel budget.

Obviously I want to arrive in BKK fresh as a daisy, and full of energy(!) so I'm exploring the idea of eating in the airport, popping a sleeping pill about 30 minutes before departure, and knocking myself out for the next 10 hours.

Is this something anyone here would recommend? If so, can you point me in the right direction of a decent brand that is available over the counter ?

Thanks, as always for your help!

there was a discussion about it just two or three weeks ago.do a quick scan of the posts and you might find it.

for me, i sometimes take one zoplicon(thats what it is sold in germany for), and i sleep like dead for 5 hours.and i do not have any side effects after i wake up.
but you will have to decide on your own if it suits you or not.
