I've never seen lettered rows and numbered seats. I've never seen high to low going front to back or the equivalent in seat-naming. But then, I've never flown Aer Elbonia so my experiences are far from comprehensive.

The consequences are frightening. Imagine snagging 2B and finding it in the back of the jet when you board!
We are in row 13 and 14 on both our TATL flights. IN some aircraft a rows go from 6 to 15 or 16 skipping numbers 7 thru 14, probably because some one decided to add FC as an after thought or wanted to keep an option of ripping out FC and converting the plane to all coach.
