We are currently with Qantas & Qantas Club and have the affiliated card here in Australia (those cards will be cancelled soon) but understand we will probably have to start using another Airline program to earn any real points
Thanks
It depends on your spending pattern, but for Flying Blue it probably will be the Flying Blue American Express card. This will cost EUR 75 each year (first year free), en you earn 1-2 miles per euro. (When you spend <5000 euro you'll earn 1 mile/euro, 5001-10000 euro 1,25 mile/euro, 10001-15000 euro 1,5 mile/euro, >15000 euro 2 miles/euro).
You can have extra cards for your partner - and then it start to be very good: the Amex-card is ALSO your FB-card, so your level (ivory, silver, gold, platinum) is on the card. If you're platinum, then your partner (which have their own FB-number on the card) gets the same level, even when she's normally ivory.
Other possibilities are:
Diners Club; on their site you can only find the British Airway-DC card, but there is also on for FB. You need to contact them for more info.
More difficult, but possible, is to get an Swiss Mastercard; look on the KLM or AF site for the link. The big problem is the exchange to CHF for every purchase.
Even more difficult: when you've got a French bankaccount (it is possible for Dutch citizens, but very difficult), you can get the French KLM Air France American Express Gold Card, which earns 1 mile/euro, but they are levelmiles also for FB.
