How long for Hilton Double Dipping Miles to show up in BAEC?

Stayed at a Hilton Garden Inn the other weekend and used the BA fixed miles option. 3500 HH points + 500 BA miles for a £35 stay incl. breakfast

Anyways, the folio stated I'd earn the 500 BA miles but had no window of expectation. Some people have said they come very fast, others say a bit of a lottery. Anyone else stayed at HH and opted for direct deposit into BA. How long should I wait until I give up the ghost and do it manually?
