It's an even year for Thanksgiving which means its my wife's family's turn to get us for Thanksgiving. Thankfully they're in San Diego which means I can bring my golf clubs and get in some late November golf while I probably wouldn't be able to do it back home (we live in NYC).

We used points we got from a voluntary denied boarding from Virgin Atlantic to book round-trip first class reward seats for Thanksgiving. Given the time we are flying, we couldn't be too choosy in using our points and I'm just thankful that we were able to use them at all during this period.
