I carried the ashes of a friend who died back to her mother in Russia last November.

The funeral home will provide you with a special box that does not have any metal so it will pass screening.

I identified the box as human ashes and the screeners were very respectful and there was no problem.

I'm sorry for your loss, but I think you will shouldn't have any trouble going through security.
